What Makes Your Tank Unique?

This tank defies the perception that discus and planted tanks do not work together. My largest maintenance headache is constantly needing to thin my plants to make room for the fish. This setup is low tech but efficient and has been up and running for four years.  Water changes consist of running a Python hose line out the front door and refilling from the faucet sink twice a month plus monthly canister cleaning. The water at my Oregon home seems well suited for the discus and plants.  Occasionally my ph slides and I add baking soda until the ph is back around 6.8.

What Do You Like Best About Your Tank?

The fish are a colorful contrast to the lush green backdrop.
